A capacity study has been underway in the Clintonville School District for the past three to four months and shows there is room for additional students in the schools as enrollment numbers have been declining. Consideration was given to spaces within each building that are sized and located to function as classroom spaces but are not currently utilized as such. Including the additional spaces in each building’s calculation increases the amount that each school is under capacity.
The study shows Rexford-Longfellow Elementary School has eight identified spaces that could allow an additional 156 to 172 students to be served. There is room for additional students in each of the schools.
