Shawano police are still searching for more answers on two armed robberies that have occured in the last month.
In January’s robbery at Maurices and last Friday’s robbery at Tractor Supply, a man who was described as approximately 5 foot 8 forced his way into the store just before closing time, displayed a gun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police Chief Dan Mauel said it is still possible that the two are connected.
“It’s concerning because it seems like it could possibly be the same person,” Mauel said. “And if that’s the case, then their more likely to commit another offense.”
Mauel said it is possible they are not connected, but businesses should still be taking all safety precautions, especially at closing time. He added it is important for anyone who has any uneasy feeling about any situation, to contact police.
Police are also asking for the public’s help with locating a man for outstanding warrants.
