A declining enrollment is forcing budget cuts at UW-Oshkosh.
In a letter to campus yesterday, the university’s chancellor Andrew Leavitt says he would like to see spending cut by $9.5 million over the next two years. Leavitt says a declining enrollment due to the state’s changing demographics has made it more difficult to raise the kind of revenue that is needed.
No specific decisions have been made but Leavitt did say that layoffs are possible.
