The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and Suring Police have received several complaints from local businesses about counterfeit money.
The fake bills come in various denominations and are labeled with “For Motion Picture Use Only”. Those words, however, have not been quickly noticed. It’s money that officials said can be easily purchased online. The front of the bills look “extremely real”. Authorities are urging people to pay attention to currency transactions.
Investigators with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office are working with the Secret Service to find the perpetrators for the fake cash. Anyone with information should immediately contact the OCSO at 9200834-6925.
