Shawn M. Waubanascum, age 45 of Neopit, started her journey to the Spirit World on Monday evening, January, 22, 2018 in Green Bay.
Shawn was born June 7, 1972 in Shawano, a daughter of Edmund Waubanascum and the late Rose Notinokey. She graduated from Menominee Indian High School in 1990. She has been employed at the Menominee Casino. She is a member of the Menominee Orthodox Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed shopping and riding around.
Survivors include her three children, Steffany (Paul) Boivin of Keshena, Steven (Erin Lewis) Boivin of Milwaukee, and Joseph Boivin of Neopit; her granddaughters, Maddison and Kristina Wayka; her sisters, Marilyn Waubanascum of Shawano, Wendy Thomas of Milwaukee, and Toni Waubanascum of Keshena; her brothers, Edmund Waubanascum, Jr. of Green Bay, Randy Waubanascum of Green Bay, Dana Waubanascum of Oconto Falls, and Tracy Waubanascum of Neopit; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Claudine Madosh.
Funeral services for Shawn will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Menominee Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Zoar. Pastor Micah Shin will officiate. Visitation will take place at the Toni Waubanascum residence, W2407 Medicine Hat Trail, Keshena after 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 until 9:00 AM on Thursday. Visitation will resume after 10:00 AM on Thursday at the church until the service at 11:00 AM.
