Crews are responding to a gas leak at a house on the 5300 block of Sandy Drive in Shawano. The entire block has been evacuated. The homeowner was able to go inside and get his dog out safely. The gas line broke by a meter and neighbors smelled gas and called authorities.
Shawano Municipal Utilities said a cable failure at their substation on the corner of Richmond and Waukechon Streets caused today’s power outage. The power was down from 2:30 to 3:20 this afternoon
