A Clintonville teenager faces charges stemming from an incident last fall where he allegedly stole a BMW.
Alex Skokan, 18, is charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and three counts of criminal damage to property.
Prosecutors say that Skokan slept at a friend’s trailer next to where the car had been stolen. The next morning he allegedly bragged about going car shopping and driving the car into the woods where it became stuck.
The criminal complaint says that someone drove the BMW through a corn field where it struck a metal deer stand and damaged a fence before hitting a 55-gallon metal drum filled with glass.
The BMW was found abandoned with heavy damage.
Skokan has been in custody on $10,000 bond since his October arrest.
