The Shawano County Clerk has extended the deadline to receive paperwork for County Board Supervisor, District 14 until the end of the day on Friday.
County Clerk Pamela Schmidt said this is due to not getting any nomination papers prior to the original deadline of yesterday.
“The required documents must be filed within the County Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. January 5, 2018,” Schmidt wrote in a press release.
District 14 covers the Town of Angelica, Ward 1, Town of Hartland and the Town of Washington, Ward 2. Individuals who wish to run need a minimum of 20 signatures from residents in the aforementioned districts. Candidates are required to live in one of these areas and must be at least age 18 or older. They also cannot have been convicted of a felony for which they have not been pardoned.
The required documents are also available on the County website at www.co.shawano.wi.us on the home page.
