Clintonville police say a man was taken to the hospital after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head last night.
The department responded to a residence in the city to assist the Clintonville Area Ambulance service for a report of a gunshot victim. Police Chief Jim Beggs says that upon arrival, officers were able to determine that the 18-year-old man’s gun shot wound was self-inflicted.
The officers assisted ambulance personnel at the scene with treating the subject’s wound. The EMT’s on hand requested that Thedastar be summoned to transport the victim and he was taken to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah before being transferred to a hospital in Milwaukee.
At this time, authorities have not been updated to the condition of the victim. Beggs says the investigation is ongoing.
