New London’s Thern Farm will be holding its 2nd Annual Holiday open house on Saturday.
The public is invited to tour the farmhouse, which will still be decked out for Christmas and filled with trees that have been decorated by local organizations. The kid friendly event runs from 3 p.m.to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
The Shawano public library continues their winter break activities for kids. Thursday morning at 10 will feature a group reading of classic kids stories.
Later on in the day (2 p.m.), the library is challenging you to escape. ‘The Escape Room’ is a physical adventure game where players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and other various strategies. Librarian Penny Habeck said the event is popular with everyone, even the library staff who participated in the event.
It takes roughly 45 minutes to complete and the library said to call ahead to RSVP. There will be a 1:00 Escape on Friday too.
