
The Outagamie County Coroner has identified the two elderly people who were killed by an apparent drunk driver late last night.
David Rosol, 82, and Hazel De Witt, 83, were in a vehicle that was struck by an SUV that blew threw a stop sign at Highway 54 near Shiocton. Rosol and Dewitt were both from Illinois. They were taken to ThedaCare in New London where they were pronounced dead.
Authorities have also identified the 57-year-old driver of the SUV as Joseph Konetzke. The Outagamie Sheriff’s Office will request that the district attorney charge Konetzke with Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Konetzke was also charged on Monday with a third offense OWI stemming from December 2 incident in Winnebago County.
