A special story of giving has been taking place over the past couple months at the Shawano McDonald’s. People refer to the as paying it forward, it’s essentially customers in the drive thru who will pay for the order of the customer behind them, despite not knowing them or how much their order cost.
This happened Thursday morning to Gayle Lemmer when she was behind a Shawano Police officer.
“I go through and I get the same thing every morning so I always have exact change.” Lemmer said “When I got up to the first drive through window the girl handed me my receipt and said it was paid for by the officer up front and I saw the officer look back at me a couple times but didn’t think anything of it. I mean I was shocked and then I was still on a high from it last night, it was just amazing.”
Lemmer said she used the money in her hand to, of course, pay toward customers meal who was behind her in line.
