The first major snowfall of the season is underway with as much as 6 inches expected to accumulate throughout the day. The National Weather Service says to prepare for hazardous driving conditions on snow covered roads. Manitowoc Lutheran High School is the only school in the region to close today.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reminding drivers that posted speed limits apply when driving conditions are ideal and that state law requires drivers to reduce speed when there’s snow on the roads.
The slippery roads did cause a semi-truck to overturn on highway 47 just outside of Black Creek early this morning. The Outagamie Sheriff’s Department says the driver’s arm was pinned under the cab but he was taken took the hospital but is in good condition.
