The Shawano Hawks hockey team won their first game of the season Tuesday night against Medford 3-2. The game winning goal was scored at the 8:40 mark in the third period by Ryan Wegenke and assisted by Bryce Gagnow.
The Hawks first goal came halfway through the first period by Trevor Krueger with assists from Bryce Gagnow and Andrew Puissant. Medford scored to even the game back up with 3 minutes remaining in the first period. Medford came out fast and scored again 50 seconds into the second period. The Hawks struck back twominutes later with a goal by Kobe Schreiber assisted by Jack Czarapata and Mason Dingeldein.
The Hawks take the ice at the Crawford Center again Tuesday night facing off against Xavier
