Houston 5 – L.A. DODGERS 1… The Astros did all their scoring in their first two at bats and coasted past the Dodgers to claim their first World Series title in franchise history. George Springer doubled to lead off the game and scored in the first, then belted a two-run homer in the second. It was his fifth home run of the series, tying him with the Yankees’ Reggie Jackson (1977) and the Phillies’ Chase Utley (2009) for the all-time record. He was named the series’ MVP. Charlie Morton pitched the final four innings in relief and was credited with the victory.
