The Shawano School District is laying out its plan to raise academic levels for students with challenges. For those with intellectual disabilities, they’re looking to increase proficiency in English and math on state testing. Officials are also looking to boost English language skills for students with learning disabilities, and cut down on chronic absentee rates of Special Education students by 10 percent.
