Police in Waupaca are continuing to investigate a shooting death that happened Friday night. A 31 year old man died from a gunshot wound. It happened in the 3-hundred block of Granite Street about 8:30 pm. Local police contacted the State Crime Lab and the Wisconsin State Patrol for help. The body has been sent to the Crime Lab for autopsy. Waupaca police chief Brian Hoelzel hasn’t released the victim’s identity or the circumstances of the shooting. However,the chief says the public was never in any danger from the shooter.
