On Monday, the Waupaca County Suicide Prevention Coalition will have a program at the high school’s Peforming Arts Center. Former Packer Chester Marcol will be there to share his story of attempted suicide and substance abuse. Organizers say the goals of the program are to increase awareness about suicide being a public health concern and to let people know it is OK to ask for help. There are eight to 10 suicides in Waupaca County each year.
