Stephanie J. Hill “Wapanakesikuhkiw”, age 42 of Shawano, started her journey to the Spirit World on Friday morning, October 13, 2017 in Shawano.
Stephanie was born March 20, 1975 in Shawano, a daughter of Jesse Lee Hill and Roxanne (Katchenago) Ponfil. She is a graduate of Green Bay Public High School. Following high school, she earned an Associate Degree from the College of Menominee Nation. Stephanie was currently employed at Sherwin Williams in Shawano. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. She loved to sing and dance. Stephanie enjoyed a good cruise with her brother on the Harley! She was so full of life and love.
Stephanie is survived by her son, Oren Hill-Sackatook of Keshena; her parents, Jesse Lee Hill of Jefferson, WI, and Roxanne (Joseph) Ponfil of Keshena; her fiance, Ryan Overstreet; her brother, Wayne Jr. (Candyce) Legois of Green Bay; step-brothers, Jake, Jon, and Jeff; half-brothers, Jason, Tony, and Chris Zolina; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, two aunts, and one uncle.
A Funeral Mass for Stephanie J. Hill will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. Fr. Joel Jores will be the Celebrant. Relatives and friends may call at the David Barrett Hall in Keshena on Sunday, October 15, 2017, beginning at 2:00 PM until the time of Mass on Tuesday. A Parish Wake Service will be conducted on Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
