Downtown Clintonville will be buzzing this Saturday as the city makes its final preparations for its annual Fall Frenzy.
The event, put on by the Clintonville Chamber, will have its mainstays like Neuva Vida’s Fiesta Latina, but a new addtion this year will be the Kids Zone, which is put on by the Clintonville Wise Guys.
“There will be a petting zoo there, games for kids, a bouncy house for younger kids and a 95-foot long inflatable obstacle course for older kids,” explained Chamber Executive Director Suzanne Wittman.
The Fall Frenzy features music, numerous food vendors, including a new food truck this year from the Fox Valley. It’s all part of an effort to put an increase focus on a family-friendly event for the city, and that’s what Wittman is telling businesses that participate.
“If you have a booth, say for example you’re an insurance agency or a bank, instead of having just pamphlets there, have a game that kids can play.”
While Clintonville will be competing with many other local events going on around the state residents need to look no further than their own backyard.
“Throughout the state of Wisconsin, we’re looking at for sure 30 other events,” Wittman said. “We’re kind of competing in that way, but what we want to offer the community is that you don’t need to travel far to go do anything fun. You can do it right here.”
The Fall Frenzy will be held in downtown Clintonville Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
