As the first week of the school year comes to a close today, students in New London’s Parkview and Lincoln elementary schools are learning in a safer environment, after both upgraded their security entrances.
Doorways were installed at both schools to prevent visitors from getting into the school without being buzzed in to tell office staff the purpose of their visit.
The upgrades were purchased with funds from the $2 million referendum voters approved in 2014.
