Residents in Clintonville have indicated what they would like to see happen with the Clintonville Rec Center.
There were 259 residents that responded to the city-wide survey and about 70 percent of respondents were women.
Of those who responded 109 said that the building has historical value to the city compared to the 61 that answered no, while 51 said maybe.
When it comes to what the city should do with the building, 36 percent believe the city shouldn’t invest anything to restore the rec center, but 28 percent believe Clintonville should spend up to $1 million in restoration.
Most respondents indicated that they wish to restore the building rather than tear it down or do nothing, but they don’t want to pay for building renovations.
The matter will be referred to the city’s Facilities Committee for further direction.
