On Monday July 25 th , the Clintonville Diamondcats faced off against Menominee as Clintonville was able to win 16-1. The bats started off a bit slow for both teams as Clintonville was leading 3-1 after 3 and a half innings. But, when the bottom of the fourth inning rolled around, Clintonville turned it on at the plate. The D-Cats sent 19 batters to the plate in the 4 th inning, scoring 13 runs on 7 hits and reaching base on 9 walks. Menominee pitchers pitched well until the 4 th inning and just looked like they lost the ability to paint the corners like they did early in the game. Nathan Krueger was the starting pitcher for Clintonville. He allowed 2 hits and 1 run in 4 innings of work. Matthew Morse came in to pitch in the fifth inning going 1-2- 3 to end the game. Krueger also led the Cats on offense going 3-3 with 2 RBI and 3 stolen bases. Josh Schroeder, James Von Deck, Colton Kluth, and Hunter Vollmer added RBI hits. Morse and Kyle Finger added RBI walks. Jordan Koeppen reached twice on walks and Chad Bork walked three times. Keenan Doornink had a hit, walk, and 2 stolen bases in his last game of the season.
