Residents of the South side of Kaukauna will need to boil their drinking water, or use bottle water for the next few days or more. The message came from Kaukauna Utilities after a water main was broken during a construction project, causing the water system to lose pressure. Based on DNR requirements, the boil-water advisory needs to be put in place when that happens. Boiled water or bottled water should be used for drinking, ice making and cooking. Kaukauna Summer school is also affected by the advisory. Parents are being asked to send bottles of water with their kids. Water samples need to be collected and tested before the advisory can be lifted. Customers south of the Fox River are affected.
