A teenager involved in a 100-mph police chase that ended in Oconto County reached a plea deal on Tuesday.
Court records state that 17-year-old Cody Olson pleaded no contest to two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety for the chase that occurred Nov. 22.
With the deal, Olson avoids a court trial that would have been scheduled to begin Tuesday. Sentencing will be held on July 21, where he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison for the two counts, as well as one count of fleeing an officer, which he was previously convicted of.
According to prosecutors, a then 16-year-old Olson drove away from traffic stop in Howard, at times exceeding 100 mph, before he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.
