A 28-year-old New London man was taken into custody after authorities raided his home, seizing materials for making explosive devices, nearly 20 firearms, and more than 30 bladed weapons. Kurtis W. Heckel residence was raided by New London police, Waupaca County deputies, and agents from the state Division of Criminal Investigation also discovered 351 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 560 grams of marijuana butter, and 24 grams of marijuana. Heckel is facing charges of drug trafficking, manufacturing psilocin, possession of psilocin with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of marijuana, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, possession of explosives for an unlawful purpose, and possession of improvised explosives. Heckel is being held on $100,000 bond.
