A 56-year-old woman was charged with her seventh OWI in Manawa recently. Marina A. Bellin of Townsend was also charged with operating after revocation when her vehicle allegedly struck a snow bank one night. Manawa Police responded to a report on Pine St. and Sandy Lane to find Bellin in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with the engine running, according to the criminal complaint. The responding officer, Police Chief James Gorman, stated he could smell alcohol and noticed Bellin was unstable while standing. The criminal complaint revealed Bellin had a blood-alcohol content level of .232. Bellin most recently was sentenced to two years in prison after her sixth OWI, which occurred in Oconto County in 2012. She faces 12 and a half years in prison if convicted.
