Darlene M. Marohl, age 80 of Shawano, died on Monday, February 6, 2017. Born on July 30, 1936 in Shawano; she is the daughter of the late John and Lorena (Geise) Montoure. On January 26, 1957, in White Clay Lake, Darlene was united in marriage to LeRoy O. Marohl, who preceded her in death on February 6, 2014. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Darlene enjoyed crocheting, baking, playing cards and board games, as well as spending time at their cabin up north. She loved spending time with her family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Darlene is survived by her children, LeRoy (Shelley) Marohl of Shawano, Deborah (Mark) Vandenberg of Kimberly and Brian (Renee) Marohl of Shawano; eight grandchildren, Jesse (Maya), Dan and Derek Drage, Abby Vandenberg, Joshua (Mindy Czechanski), Brianna (Zak Kroll), Kendra and Karly Marohl; six great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Ella, Calvin, Amelia, Kooper and Kayleigh; and her siblings, Phyllis, Doris, Jeanette, Karen, Barb, Ron and Larry. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; her parents; her siblings, Richard, John, George, Morris and Donna.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be directed to a charity of your choice.
