Students and faculty having fun during Lutheran Schools Week
As Lutheran Schools Week wraps up, one unique Lutheran high school in the area is preparing a big move. Wolf River Lutheran High School in Cecil is one of 90 Lutheran high schools in the country and they celebrated their final Lutheran School Week in their current building.
“Construction is going to begin in April and Bayland Builders should be able to complete it by September, so we’ll be moving into the new school the following year,” said Wolf River Lutheran High School Principal Caroline Bedroske. “The biggest thing has been the support from our congregational churches and our community. People have been donating and making pledges, not only to their churches, but then a portion of that has been coming back to the high school.”
There have been seven other association churches that have joined Wolf River, as the school couldn’t be more thankful for the support they’ve received through the process.
“It’s just been such an outpouring of love and support,” Bedroske stated proudly. “A couple of estates have come in, where people have donated in their passing, and we are just so blessed to see the support and everything.”
The public can visit their website wrlhs.org to find out more about how to become more involved and donate as well.
