The blaze orange army will have a new pink colored division when it enters the woods this weekend. DNR Chief Conservation Warden Todd Schaller says with a change in state law, hunters are now able to wear blaze or fluorescent pink for the hunt. He says it was hoped that might draw more women into the sport.
” I am not sure if that is a big factor, but the bottom line is it opens up the possibility from a color perspective.”
The nine-day gun deer hunting season begins on Saturday.
