With Larson Boat Group closing down its plant in Little Falls, Minnesota and moving production to Pulaski, it’s expected bring in anywhere between 75 and 100 jobs to the area. Reports indicate that it’s still too early to determine how many jobs will be filled by current Minnesota employees.
Larson Boat Group’s Minnesota facility was in business for 100 years, but production is moving to Pulaski in order to consolidate and become more competitive within the industry.
CEO of Larson Boat Group Rob Parmentier explains that the decision comes also because of the talented engineering group that may offer more capabilities at the Pulaski facility. Currently 141 employees work at the Minnesota facility and some are planning on visiting the village, possibly thinking of making the move.
Even with more jobs coming to the facility, the plant isn’t expected to expand. The shutdown of the Minnesota facility is expected to come early next year.
