At about 2:30 a.m. Friday morning, a call came into the Waupaca County Communications Center for a report of a on vehicle crash on Colrue Road in the Town of St. Lawrence.
When deputies arrived, they found a male, whom was later identified as the driver, lying on the pavement outside of the vehicle. He was being attended to by a passerby.
Authorities discovered the vehicle in a north bound ditch with extensive front end damaged that was determined to be caused by a head on collision of several trees.
A female passenger had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Ogdensburg Fire Department. Both individuals were provided medical care on scene, and both had critical, but non life-threatening injuries.
The male and female were air-lifted to Thedacare Neenah. The accident remains under investigation by the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
