Rose M. Sherbeck, age 89 of the Township of Larrabee, passed away into eternal life on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Evergreen Care Center, Shawano.
Rose Marie Sherbeck was born June 23, 1927 in the Navarino area, the second of nine children to the late Earl & Carrol (Leeman) Pues. She graduated from Shawano High School and earned a teaching certificate from Algoma’s Teacher Training program. Rose taught in one-room school houses in the area until 1962. On July 19, 1954 she was united in marriage to Marvin Sherbeck and accompanied him to Fort Lewis, WA until his discharge from the U.S. Army. She and Marvin then farmed in Navarino and Clintonville while raising their family. Rose was a long-time member of Bethany Evangelical Free Church, Clintonville, and the secretary/treasurer of the Bethesda Cemetery, Navarino. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, and entertaining friends and family. Rose also loved sewing and woodworking, as well as being very supportive of her church’s Christian Mission work.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Marvin

She is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Joyce; an infant son & daughter; brothers Sylvester, Vivian, & Sherman; a son-in-law, Jim Eisert, and her in-laws, Henry & Olga Sherbeck; sister-in-law, Marcella Pues; brothers-in-law, Raymond Kennedy & Leeland Carpenter.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Kurt Hettinga officiating. Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery, Navarino.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Evergreen Care Center & ThedaCare At Home Hospice as well as Dr. Cynthia Egan for all of the love and care shown to Rose.
