Cheryl L. Jacobs, age 67 of Keshena, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Neenah surrounded by her loved ones.
Cheryl, also known as Dee-Dee, was born January 4, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. She relocated to Keshena where she worked for many years at Maenowesekiyah Wellness Center, and was also a teacher at Menominee Indian Head Start. Recently retired, she enjoyed seeing and helping everyone in the community. Cheryl was well known for her love of music, shopping, delicious cooking, watching hummingbirds, and her utmost generosity.
Survivors include her loving husband, Wayne Malone, Sr.; her children Robert Jacobs, Angalee Jacobs, Destine Malone, and Lena Malone; siblings Ardelle Malone, Darlene Jacobs, Jeanette Jacobs, William “Bill” Jacobs, Valerie Jacobs, Luane Neosh, Aaron Bear, and Michael Bear; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Traditional Native American services for Cheryl L. Jacobs will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Red Springs Town Hall, W10208 E. Town Hall Road, Gresham, Wisconsin. Interment will be in the Red Springs Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday.
