Pressure is being put on members of the Wisconsin Senate to vote on a 100-million dollar tax incentive package before the end of the month. September 30th is the deadline established by Kimberly-Clark as state officials try to save 600 jobs for the Fox Valley. The Wisconsin Assembly has approved the package, but the Senate hasn’t — and it is on break until January. The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce has asked the papermaking giant to extend its deadline for a decision. Approval of the package would be easier to get after the November 6th election, but Kimberly-Clark has given no indication it’s willing to wait.
