Margaret Pearl (Dillenberg) Luedtke, born November 19, 1924, went to be with the Lord and her love mate Franklin. Born in the Township of Herman, Shawano County, she was the daughter of the late Katie (Wagner) and Patrick Dillenberg. She lived in the Town of Herman on a farm until age eight, when she moved to Shawano, where she attended Shawano schools, graduating from high school in 1943. On June 24, 1944, she was united in marriage to Franklin K. Luedtke. The couple celebrated 43 years of marriage before Franklin went to be with the Lord on July 4, 1987. Margaret worked at Dupont Bakery and the telephone company. Changing fields a bit, she then worked for Shawano Medical Center as a nurse’s aide and receptionist in Radiology for over 40 years until retiring on December 31, 1999. Margaret also worked as an EMT with Shawano Ambulance for 20 years. Margaret was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 117, Lake Drive Cemetery Association, St. James Ladies Aide and Tabitha, Shawano Hospice, Shawano SAFPARC, AARP of Shawano 186 and St. James Retreat.
Survivors include: her son, Arthur L. (Mary) Luedtke of Green Bay; grandchild, Tracy E. (Tim) Larsen of Shawano; great-grandchildren, Hunter Franklin Larsen, Fisher Ray Larsen and Tanner Timothy Larson; great great-granddaughter, Gracie; sisters-in-law, Cleo Dillenberg and Alice Dillenberg; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by: her husband, Franklin; her parents; sister, Agnes Bibelhausen; brothers, Joseph, Andrew, Clarence, Paul, Sylvester, Franklin and Louis ‘Pete’ Dillenberg; her in-laws, Frank and Clara Luedtke; sisters-in-law, Agnes (Ruben) Dillenberg, Violet Netzel Dillenberg and Josephene; two nieces, Cathy Dillenberg and Bonnie (Dillenberg) Roberts; as well as one nephew, Wayne Dillenberg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Mr. Dick Menning officiating. Burial will be in Lake Drive Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
