Oconto County’s Court Commissioner was suspended by the Wisconsin Supreme Court last month for 15 days for misconduct and was suspended without pay for an additional 15 days by the county committee that oversees his office. The Law Enforcement/Judiciary Committee on Wednesday approved Frank Calvert’s suspension for violating county policies. The policies violated, according to Corporation Counsel Cheryl Mick, state that Calvert: “…failed to provide his/her supervisor with notification that he/she will be absent or tardy from work.” Mick said Calvert did not notify the county’s human resources department he had been suspended. “…lied, misled, or has been untruthful in comments to co-workers, supervisors or to the public.”
