Adele M. Nordwig, of Tomah, formerly of Bowler, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at A Touch of Home assisted living, Tomah.
She was born on October 8, 1928 in Bonduel, daughter of the late John and Ida (Heller) Liesner. On June 6, 1955 she married Harry Nordwig in Bonduel. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2002.
Adele worked as a bookkeeper for the Bowler School District for 31 years, a job she truly enjoyed. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah, where she was a part of their Sarah Circle and Elderberries. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, crocheting, sewing, cross stitch, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her son, Thomas (Kelly Wang-Nordwig) Nordwig, of Tomah; two step-daughters, Nancy (Meril) Schultz, of The Villages, FL, and Bonnie (Larry) Trieglaff, of Cocoa Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, LeRoy Liesner, of Bonduel, Etta Ninman, of Shawano, and Nora (Bill) Klinger, of Flippen, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, and two brothers, John and Jerry Liesner.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda. Vicor Lois Graper will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements.
