The art of Norbert Kox is now receiving its more complete public accounting, not in LA, Chicago or event New York, but on Gillett’s Main Street. More than 120 pieces the northeast Wisconsinite artist created over five decades will be on display beginning Saturday, June 30th at his Apocalypse House and New Museum of Visionary Art. Fox is moving from New Franken to Gillett to establish a site to exhibit his paintings, which he calls “apocalyptic visual parables.” Featuring vivid and often disturbing imagery, the highly detailed works depict evil and incorporate religious symbols and Bible verses that can demand extended or repeat viewings. The opening will be from 2-5 p.m. on June 30th.
