The Shawano Parks and Recreation Department is building a new park that will be about three acres in size in town after United Cooperative bought Center Street park from the department to expand. The new park will be called Co-Op Park not only from United Cooperative but because of the community initiative to help build the park from Belmark donated $12,000 work of top soil and the Rotary Club helped by planting trees. The park is located on Richmond Street and Matt Hendricks from the Parks and Rec. Department shared what will be going in the park and when the public should see some change.
