A former Seymour girls basketball coach accused of attempting to have sex with a child will spend two years on probation. Nicholas Darnick, 37 must spend six months in the Brown County Jail. Darnick, a former middle and high school gym teacher and varsity girls basketball coach, is accused of arranging a meeting in May 2016 at an Ashwaubenon McDonald’s with someone he thought was a 15 year old girl. Darnick pleaded guilty to child enticement, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, use of a computer and telephone for threats or obscenities and resisting or obstructing police.
