Last night the city hosted a common council meeting at city hall to discuss approving certain resolutions for the city and some of the resolutions passed will have an effect on the community. The city approved the resolution to have an automated pay station at Huckleberry Harbor. They pay station will be able to collect payments in cash, credit or debit cards. The pay station should work for no less than ten years and will cost around $13,000 for the preparations for the surrounding area and the pay station itself. This new system is also to keep the safety of the employees collecting the money from sickness from the mold in the current pay station and prevent any bee’s from building nests in said stations. The city also passed the resolution to add another minivan cab with wheel chair accessibility to the city’s fleet. The total cost will be $31,651 with 80% of the funds coming from federal government aid and 20% from local funds.
