The Clintonville City Council has committed $1.8 million to future street projects. The council approved the resolution unanimously in a 9-0 vote. The city is applying for a grant through the Community Development Block Grant which can fund up to 50 percent of the project with a maximum number allowed of $500,000. there have been discrepancies on how much the projects will cost, the city says $1.3 million while the party completing the grant process says its upwards of $2 million. The city won’t know the final number until an architectural design study is completed. If the city receives the grant, Robert Street and 12th Street are identified as repair projects.
