A Waupaca County Jail inmate is facing new charges for damage done in the jail. 31 year old Ezekiel L. Smith of Plover is charged with a felony count of criminal damage to property. The crime is charged out as a felony because the amount of damage exceeds 25 hundred dollars. The criminal complaint alleges Smith broke some equipment in the jail and flooded a pod with water. The complaint says the damage was over 29 hundred dollars. If convicted, he could face up to three and a half years behind bars. Smith is currently serving time on a marijuana conviction.
