A plan to bring broadband access to 80,000 homes in northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula will be presented in Oconto Falls on Today. State Sen. Tom Tiffany and State Broadband Director Angie Dickison will be joined by representatives of Microsoft and Packerland Broadband for the press conference and listening session at Oconto Falls High School. Work on the project is expected to start this spring or summer. Almost 34,000 people are expected to receive the service by the end of 2019, and about 82,000 by 2022, according to Microsoft.
