According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, over the past two days a total of 43 wildfires have been recorded around Wisconsin. Many of these fires have been minor in nature, but in response the National Weather Service in Green Bay has put out a special weather statement for the area for fire danger. The statement from the weather service says that winds with speeds between 13-18 mph and gusts up to 35 mph may result in possible power line fires and have the potential to stoke up brush fires. The humidity drop, coupled by the chance for precipitation Today through Thursday should temporarily minimize wildfire opportunities later this week.
