An Oconto County man has been charged with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, six months after the deadly crash. Bernard A. Poradek, 32, of Mountain, faces up to 10 years in prison on the charge filed over the death of Robert S. Lusardi of Suring. Lusardi, 30, died at the scene of the accident on State 32 about five miles north of Suring. According to the criminal complaint Lusardi was northbound on State 32, but stopped waiting to turn into Rhode’s Oasis Convenience store, where his wife worked. His vehicle was rear-ended by Poradek causing Lusardi’s car to move across the centerline which was then struck by a southbound Jeep Wrangler. Poradek posted $2,500 cash bond following his initial appearance on April 12, a preliminary hearing is set for April 30.
