Due to rapidly melting snow from the mid-April blizzard, the Waupaca County Emergency Management Office has declared a flood emergency for the Wolf River downstream of New London beginning at 8 a.m. this morning. The declaration imposes a slow, no-wake zone on the Wolf River for boaters operating within 500 feet of any permanent building, excluding fishing rafts. The order will remain in effect until the river recedes to a safe level. High temperatures are expected to reach low 60s on Monday and Tuesday with a chance of rain Wednesday.
