Local residents have another option for health care when the Prevea Shawano Health Center opens its doors to the public on Monday. The clinic is next to Anello’s Torch Lite; the land on which the clinic sits is where the home of Anello’s owner Rita Mondus was. The clinic will offer a variety of services. Besides urgent care, there will also be services in family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral care, podiatry, orthopedics, lab and x-ray. Family practice and urgent care will start on day one, but Prevea plans to have visiting specialists come to the health center starting this summer. No appointment will be needed for the urgent care services, but patients can get ahead of the line by signing in to Prevea’s website and clicking on a button or using the Prevea app on their phone.
