Arline Louise Creapeau, age 95, of Gresham, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 in Embarrass. Arline was born in Keshena on August 27, 1922, the daughter of the late James and Jane (Sipiecow) Miller. On May 24, 1948, Arline was united in marriage to George Anthony Creapeau in Shawano. George preceded her in death on July 11, 1992. Arline loved gardening, sewing and beading and was also an excellent cook and baker. She made the best pies around and her family looked forward to her fried chicken every Sunday. Arline was a devoted Catholic and spent countless hours reading her bible. She also had a passion for the theatre and loved attending plays and musicals. A wonderful mother and grandmother, Arline cherished time spent with her family, especially her precious grandchildren.
Arline is survived by: six children, Valerie A. Stanczyk of Custer, Anthony J. (Mary) Creapeau of Gresham, Norman L. “Louie” Creapeau of Gresham, Christine M. Smith of Rhinelander, Clara J. (Guy) Boach of Rhinelander and David A. Creapeau of Masonville, CO; 15 grandchildren, Jackie, Tony, Dennis, Will, Ryan, Calvin, Joey, Cathy, Neal, Steve, Darrick, Mike, Brian, Kevin and Jacob; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, George; her parents; four brothers, James “Bing” Miller, Benny Miller, Theodore “Uncle T” Miller and Elmer Miller; and one sister, Claudia “Ky” Frechette.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Cemetery in Gresham later this spring. Visitation will be held at the Father David Barrett Hall at St. Michael’s in Keshena from 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 until the time of the service on Friday.
